Everyone loves legal free downloads, right?
Well to my horror I found out that Esterlyn's album Lamps and their ep are available for free download on noisetrade.com. And I already the EP a couple weeks ago :/ It was nice to get Lamps free, but I still spent a few bucks on the other one... oh well.
Anyway, go to noisetrade.com and it should be on the 3rd or so page of top downloads.

Pretty much most of you who are reading this blog have already heard my ranting and raving over the EP "This Is A Redemption Melody" by Brothers at Sea, but if not, get it here.

Check out the purevolume.com pages for Deas Vail, Paramore, He Is We, The Starting Line, Anberlin, Joywave, bla bla bla. Search your fav artist in there and chances are they could have a free download.

Daytrotter.com has some free stuff too (live recordings). Just go there to read about what it is. There's some Mat Kearney, Paper Route, fun., and etc.

Owl City's music video for Vanilla Twilight was released today:

Nothing too special, but still really sweet!

It seems like I always keep writing about music in here, but that's ok. Recently I just discovered this band called Esterlyn. They're a Christian indie band. Their first album, Lamps, has some great pop rock songs on it. They've also released an acoustic EP.
Here's their music video for "We All Need" (ignore the weird ringtone ad at the bottom, lol.)

I also bought Tenth Avenue North's new single "Healing Begins" today. It's not drastically different from their older songs, but you can definitely hear that either they've grown as musicians or it was better-produced, or both. I love the acoustic guitar & bass throughout the opening of the song, and the bass in the 2nd verse. It sounds really good (my dad would probably call it choppy, but I love the sound, lol).

Lyrics: (I wrote them down just from listening so if they're wrong forgive me :P)

So you thought you had to keep this up
All the work that you do
So we think that you're good
And you can't believe it's not enough
All the walls you built up
Are just glass on the outside

So let 'em fall down
There's freedom waiting in the sound
When you let your walls fall to the ground
We're here now

This is where the healing begins, oh
This is where the healing starts
When you come to where you're broken within
The light meets the dark
The light meets the dark

Afraid to let your secrets out
Everything that you hide
Can come crashing through the door now
But too scared to face all your fear
So you hide but you find
That the shame won't disappear

So let it fall down
There's freedom waiting in the sound
When you let your walls fall to the ground
We're here now
We're here now, oh

This is where the healing begins, oh
This is where the healing starts
When you come to where you're broken within
The light meets the dark
The light meets the dark

Sparks will fly as grace collides
With the dark inside of us
So please don't fight
This coming light
Let this blood come cover us
His blood can cover us

This is where the healing begins, oh
This is where the healing starts
When you come to where you're broken within
The light meets the dark
The light meets the dark
